British Properties Hardwood Floor Refinishing Project

This home in the British Properties of West Vancouver was undergoing a major renovation, but one of the most dramatic transformations came from refinishing the existing maple hardwood floors and stairs. Rather than replacing them, the floors were sanded back to bare wood, removing the original brown stain and glossy finish to reveal the maple’s natural colour.

The floors were finished with a flat sheen using three coats of Loba Invisible Protect 2K. This commercial-grade finish provides exceptional durability for high-traffic commercial spaces and busy households while preserving the natural appearance of freshly sanded wood. Refinishing existing hardwood floors is often one of the most cost-effective ways to completely update the look and feel of a home, and in this project it made a remarkable difference.
